OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST AND PROFESSIONAL GO-GETTER
At the heart of Mae.d Inclusive is Kendie - a problem-solver by profession and a creative by instinct. Trained as an occupational therapist, she’s spent years working alongside people navigating daily routines that ask far too much of them. From buttoning a shirt one-handed to feeling seen and stylish in a body that doesn’t fit the industry's mould, Kendie kept asking one question:
Couldn’t this be easier?
Mae.d Inclusive is her answer—fashion that feels good, works hard, and doesn’t compromise.
Rooted in empathy and driven by design, these pieces are built with purpose: magnetic closures, sensory-considered fabrics, silhouettes that move with you, and construction that works seated, standing, or somewhere in between. This isn’t about masking disability. It’s about celebrating function, feeling, and freedom—with style that belongs in your wardrobe, not the margins.
Kendie brings to Mae.d what most brands don’t: a deep understanding of real-life barriers, an OT’s eye for detail, and a millennial edge that blends lived experience with modern aesthetic. With a healthy dose of irreverence and a sharp love of culture, she’s quietly rewriting the rules—from the clinic floor to the fitting room. One adaptive stitch at a time.
This is access reimagined. This is fashion that fits you—beautifully.
the mae.d impact:
1% of Mae.d annual sales will go directly to a local charity to fund essential services for women.
-
I’ve spent my career helping women navigate bodies that change, flare, and challenge them.
I’ve watched brilliant, powerful women settle for comfort over style — because fashion wasn’t designed for them.Too often, clothing ignores the reality of bodies that live with chronic illness, disability, or sensory needs.
Too often, women are told to “just manage” — to hide, to shrink, to compromise.I knew it didn’t have to be this way.
-
We design for women who deserve to feel visible, confident, and beautiful — without compromise.
Women who navigate flare days, wheelchairs, chronic pain, or sensory sensitivities, and still want to walk into a room and feel aligned with themselves.
We do not dress to fix bodies.
We do not dress to inspire pity or admiration.
We dress to honour the women who live in them. -
